After Bari-Matera event in April, ArtLab 23 will kick off the Bergamo event from September 27th to 29th, with a focus on Italian and European Capitals of Culture. The legacies resulting from these events and the enabling conditions for ensuring positive long-term impacts will be central themes in two sessions.
Italian and European mayors, foundations, and organizations that have accompanied Bergamo and Brescia on their journey to becoming Italian Capitals of Culture will play a leading role in these discussions.
Digital transformation will be a leading theme of the discussion, encompassing the role of businesses in the cultural digital transformation, as well as the scenarios and impacts of generative artificial intelligence on cultural and creative production.
Networks and systems for culturally-based territorial development will take center stage during the event, starting with a comparison of numerous cases to identify conditions, forms, and intervention methods for fostering the development and consolidation of strategic collaborations.
The establishment of sustainability in special public-private partnerships, especially in light of the new regulatory framework, will be the central theme of discussions between public agencies and private investors and philanthropists.
Looking at the national and European dimensions, we will also address the topics of philanthropic investments and hybrid forms of support for artistic and cultural activities, in collaboration with Philea, the European Philanthropy Association.
We will conclude ArtLab Bergamo with a critical and cherished theme for ArtLab: Italian legislation on Cultural and Creative Industries (ICC), whose regulatory framework appears to have finally reached the approval stage
