The months to come will be characterised by an air of uncertainty with which it will be necessary to live, but at the same time it will be imperative to ensure the conditions to safeguard the economic and cultural system. In this context, it seems useful to compare what has happened in the Italian regional territories and how policy-makers at the European level have set up strategies to support culture in order to understand what the urgent issues are, and the knowledge required in order to provide public and private decision-makers with valid means to design effective policies to guarantee a future for the cultural sector and to rethink current models of sustainability.
